There's wisdom in bones
covers
from ages past,
carried
precious blood.
Now deeply
where truths
cannot be hidden
suddenly I knew
I'd never been alone.

I also felt this poem is the physical and spiritual recognition of our ansestors with us, because they are within us...lovely, H, thanks so much...

Beautiful, the recognition of the ancestral spirit within us... a wonderful write!

Interesting take on the prompt ... love the idea of wisdom in bones ... thanks for this.

I like the twist on this one PK.

We are indeed never alone. Thoughts of the past or future, experiences, dreams, saudades, they all keep us company in a way or other.
You show it so very clear in so few words.
Well done in thoughts and view

Strong visual given here of seeing beyond the books cover. I love how this one spins.....

within...
"...where truths
cannot be hidden..."
The truth in soul searching. To look in a mirror, in your own eyes and know that you can't lie. Not to yourself and not to He whose temple you inhabit. Write on. One.

Such truth found in your words. Wisdom and truth go hand-in-hand and can reveal things we have kept hidden deep within ... or things that we simply did not understand. Life revelations that come from taking those deep, honest looks into the mirror of our soul can reveal that which can set us free ... including the fact that we have never truly been 'alone.' God is and has ALWAYS been there. And when we look closely, we usually find there were many others who extended a hand to us. Sometimes we just failed to see. Wonderful thoughts H.
