As we travel down the river of life
We always feel as if we are lost,
As if there is no one who can guide us.
It seems that the only people who can
Ever afford a river guide are those
Who have all the money in the world.
So many people try to become rich
Only so they too can have a guide.
But why would they need a guide?
Why would you want someone to tell you
What is going to happen in your life?
It seems those with money are just
Hiring someone to make their decisions for them.
These are the people who are truly wasting their lives.
If you are so helpless at navigating
This mighty river of life,
Then you might as well not even travel on it.
You might as well just curl up and die where you are
Because you are not living,
You are dead
And have been ever since you hired
A river guide.

I like the overall message here, I think it would be an easier read if your broke this up into stanzas, or perhaps didn't capitalize the begining of every line....nice piece...thanks for entering!
