Come take from me, all that I see,
laid before me by God's mighty hand.
Let these eyes see no more misery,
nor death's shadows in canyons grand.
Let darkness begone from weary eyes,
cast out suffering throughout earth.
Take world's woe and hear our cries,
cleanse through renewal and rebirth.
Shield me, do not let me gaze upon,
release me from my own cross to bear.
Block the sun, moon and stars beyond,
till all hate in the world disappears.
If called upon to remain in blindness,
I shall never question the reason why.
Worth trading for a world of kindness,
to rid planet of hate and its demise.

Excellent Poem
This well deserves trophy, The prompt and poem take the reader into a heart that awaits the wonders as God will bless us. To shield us from our waywardness until hate is gone. The power of these images raise the soul to accept our blessings end hate.

A very powerful message from the prompt. Our world certainly has its faults.
'Let darkness begone from weary eyes,
cast out suffering throughout earth.
Take world's woe and hear our cries,
cleanse through renewal and rebirth.'
feelings so many of us share I think.
Thank you for sharing with us
