I've given up
and walked away
from the place
where I was
only yesterday.
I've left it
all behind.
I no longer
want to play
with the kind
of people I
used to like
to associate
with everyday.
I was swept
up one too
many times
and somehow
blindly led
to places that
I never knew
existed.
To the places
where people
trade each other
for things they
cannot reach
and trust is not
an experience,
it's a foreign word
that no one
ever speaks.
I'm leaving
that all behind
and I'm coming
home for good
this time.
