I touch your face
in slow motion
memorizing each line
and each dot on your skin
reading with my fingertips
your life story
on the curve of your smile
on the corners of your eyes
readable it's your love
for the love my hands send to you
and like a poetry book
I have you opened on
my favourite poem
the encounter of you and I

YES! this is awesome, an extension of the competition you wrote I while back it seems with the combination of literary reference and human interaction. But you really have hit the nail on the head with this one!
So many great lines and images, its hard to choose. The second line really helps to set the pace and feel to the moment and the two lines at the end of the first stanza complement each other so well! And the last three lines of the last stanza were just perfect, what an incredible image of closeness and intimacy.
Bravo, you've got this style down to an art now!

Oh the faces we love to touch...but a heart revealed under the microscope of love is indeed an open book! You, Mari, are a joy to read!

May infinite blessings carry you through your day.

Its like to feel love flow for another when he/she is asleep... cause the face is not looking back and the caress from the poem doesnt reach back.. but does it matter in the moment you feel love....?

-
Ms Mari, I'm sure if you had a mind to you could catch people and put them in jars along your mantle piece. --- And yet I know you're not a danger, just dangerous. ---- Thank you.

superfluous would be for words...just the touch and the heart that speaks...only the soul can understand...
i wish i could have a book like that...i would not mind being a bookworm...lol

And like your favorite book..... the story can be read again and again. I've found that turning the pages can be fun..lol. I hope it has a happy ending too.

A tracing, a re-creating of a moment,
to be read and re-read...as love.
Entrancing...

mi querida hija
Again you show your ability to express so much in very few words.
And yet, to read your imagery,
my humour cannot fail
to ask you if your fingertips
are really reading braille?
Sorry 'bout that! Just my twisted kiwi mind working or maybe it's Mister Hyde again?
Your poem is really very beautiful, mi querida.
Aplausos, mucho amor, abrazos y besos,
XXX el padre.

excellent~
This is excellent sis...
I sometimes watch my hubby while he sleeps and he doesn't know it..sometimes the silliest grin comes on his face and I wonder what he is thinking about...your poem made me think of that...and it also made me smile as well
Penned beautifully
I have to catch up with your new ones...
Hugs
Your sis

Your poem has a wonderful voice, and the story it tells is one that does not need eyes, these are rich verses full of feelings... I have to agree with Tara and Yem...this is spiritual and gorgeous...h

Some faces you just want to touch, to trace and if that is combined with love it could and should be a sort of spiritual journey for both parties. Ok, that is a little hokey, but we're talking about two souls into the moment, into the desire to be understood and to understand. I guess we find our opposite who feels that same way we should be happy. Whether a husband, child, parent or good friend...not that I'm about to start touching the faces of the guys at work...not if I don't want a hammer across the face...but still, for that right person, such an exploration would be nice.
