...Remember

The place in time my love began
I don’t remember the day…
Know the place and moment
As if it were yesterday.

Look was there upon your face
Smile and words I’ll never forget
Have you always been there?
I don’t remember…

Maybe my life began that moment
Or maybe I was waiting all my life
I don’t remember what happen…
All I know you were there

See you when I open my eyes
Last thing before closing at night
Loving you is my lifetime goal
And all I want to remember…

    Ah...

Sweet love! I'll have to check out Neruda. I know of him from a Chilean Baron I once 'dated' but am not familiar with his work. This is such a pleasant & well written piece. It's nice to be in love & have that feeling of permanence!

Very sweet, and loving. I like the simplicity of it, which does evoke some of the atmosphere of Neruda's poetry.

"Maybe my life began that moment
Or maybe I was waiting all my life"

Very sweet - but also a bit cliche. The story you've woven is very tender but some images/phrases are a bit typical. Very sweet though! Thanks for entering!
