Confetti still hides in your clothes
The smell of flowers still hangs in the air
Fresh, new exciting alive
Reminding you of those unforgettable lines
The ones that will bind you forever
After just 7 days your still fresh so new
Wedding all over, fuss died down
Take time now to enjoy yourself
Cause in a few years time
You wont know the other half
They ll be like a monster in curlers
Or stained nasty, pongy t shirt.
Congratulations only another century to go.

Haha, nice write. I actually attended a weeding last night. Wonder if they'll be celebrating their one week anniversary in 6 days. Best of luck in the contest.

Do you mean "century"? It always helps to run spellcheck and also to do a little proofreading before and after you post just to get things that spellcheck can't, like mistakes with your/you're, and so on.

Good take on the prompt... sucks to have to celebrate a 1-week anniversary. I wonder how long people who 'jump the gun' so much actually last with their partners.

If you don't have MS Word or another word processor with spellcheck, there's always www.spellcheck.net. Just type in "spellcheck" in a search engine and even more options should come up.

ok, I was a little concerned that you took the prompt idea, instead of coming up with a new idea, BUT...
That was freakin' hysterical! the last stanza made me LMAO!
"They ll be like a monster in curlers
Or stained nasty, pongy t shirt."
That's brilliant.
