Struggle to make
these bindings tighter
stillnes to attract
the beast that hungers
for the softest
the most tender
precious
flesh
The filth it warrants
resides by attention
and remains through faith
guilt will hold you
still the night presses
on
and on
and will only
fear for want
To be drawn out
of the thorny entwinement
would tear at the heart
and burn at the throat
would sanctuary be so
safe
if one were
a bleeding heart?
How do you save
the threatened
and entwined
dependent on the
trap?
