you better learn how to fall girl.

with what seemed like the eaisest of grace, she stared beyond him into the sun.
as if she'd done this a million times.
and she had.

pretending not to care that the thing behind her ribcage wasn't falling slowly to pieces as she gazed upon his familar face, wishing things were different but at the same time, worried as to what change would bring.

and to do the math would be all too simple.
because the one part of her, would never quite match up with his halved soul.

dust settled in her eyes just when she thought she was seeing things clearly.
because, after all.
they were only together in the shades of gray.
the times when it didn't matter.

to fall silently, as she did
like a petal on the most precious flower
was a reason enough;

to kill her in the kindest way.

"we'll always be friends."

    Well...

there's a story behind this one alright...so nicely worded and kept hidden in that "thing behind your ribcage"...some things in life are tough , but change always brings a fresh light, even tho memories linger on...

i like how abstract this is, how it doesn't spell everything out.

"dust settled in her eyes just when she thought she was seeing things clearly.
    because, after all.
they were only together in the shades of gray."

    brilliant, my dear.
    you are absolutely brilliant.
