"Treasure the love you have received above all. It will survive long after your gold and good health have vanished."
Og Mandino (1923 - 1996)
you may have gold
you may have friends
but which will stay
until the end?
one goes away
throughout time
one stays forever
their love for you sublime
so treasure your friends
treasure your gold
but only one will stay
until you are old
if you treasure
your gold over friends
you'll be all alone
when the gold is spent
so take friendship seriously
as the gold blows over
and you'll have friends
like luck follows a four leaf clover

an inspirational take on the quote. i liked this very much because it lifted my spirit (:
one spelling error to note: you spelt "sublime" as "sumblime"
other than that, i loved the start of the poem. the rhyme made me smile.
"you may have gold
you may have friends
but which will stay
until the end?"
thank you~

I liked this write, and I think it relates to the quote prompt brilliantly. There's a real nice rythm which makes it both easy and enjoyable to read, nice work!
