Horsewhipped

Horsewhipped communities
trampled under the fear and loathing
of time wasting mediocrities
turning valuable evenings
into hate rallies.
We, the underdogs
resist and wage a mental war
getting up after being put down
kicking back while being tied up
Fight on!

Very thought provoking and says so much i so few words. I think the length is just right and puts your point across without the need to "waffle". Great write, would be surprised if this one doesn't get alot of votes.

At war with the world? Where do you find peace, does mediocracy really exist or is it how we experience- I found your poem frightening and challenging- perhaps just as art should be

I really like the message here and the way it is told. The ending is very effective. "getting up after being put down kicking back while being tied up" nice job thank you for the entry.

    strong in a good way

I firmly identify with the feeling and pulsation of this poem. You are powerful in your weakness. We become strong in our weakness; strong through tenacity.
