Child's Play

There are games that grown-ups play as well…

We played Marco Polo in an elevator:
She was the mark
and I was the pole
(we fit the O’s accordingly).

I preferred hide-n-seek…
Ask her to cover her eyes
and count:
Her shoulder…one
Her neck…two
Don’t forget the jaw line,
beneath the ear… three.
Meanwhile, take all the time in the world.

The key is creativity,
maintaining that one step ahead.
The moment she arcs her back, slide in,
stay for a while.
Her nipples… four
Her wrists… five
Spread her legs like your best stories… six.
Let her listen, small wet hints of where you could be.
Her pelvis… seven
Her clit… eight
Replacing the count with deep breaths,
keep time with your fingers.
Her thighs… nine
She bites her lip,
No need to cover her eyes,
she likes what she sees with them closed.
So her hands find new ways to pass the time,
leaving tally marks on your back
keeping score as a formality.

Count the spasms... one, two… three-four… five…
She stops counting:
“Ready or not!  Here I come!”
