I wanted to be the best the I could
but I'm not the me that I should be.

I tried my best, can you tell?
I tried my best, but I'm not well.
I wanted to be perfect for you
but as I tried to be perfect, I fell.

I tried my best, really I did
I tried my best, but I'm still a kid
I wanted you to love me so much
but because of who I am, I hid.

I tried my best, but it's not enough
I tried my best, but it was tough
I wanted to be who you need
but I failed and that's just rough.

    I feel ya

    i feel ya on this one mighty poetess...it's rough when we fail even if we tried our best. sometimes failing when you give it your all hurts twice as much. But the thing is that gives you credibility is that you went balls to the wall and that itself merits being proud of you. i hope you always try your best. keep it up... i'll always be proud of you ;-)
