Swollen emotions festering
surely run fast; fanning mad embers
of disappointment.
Overflowing into anger, red pangs.
From lips once honey sweet
with passionate kisses.
Burning words drown the soul!
People, family surrounded
by hot verbal flames.
Scorching eyes bordering insane.
Unaware of their inner fire
lost of perfect control.
The spirit of inferno
loudly ravishes, then explodes.
Piles of rubble; unseen destruction
blinded are their kind eyes
sometimes, almost always
turning love into ashes;
blowing into the wind.

Wow! Now, I totally have been there before ... you did a splendid job penning this one. And I disagree--- the last line fits perfectly as piles of rubble when turned itno ashes will travel into the sky by the wind... Line per line was a real treat to read.
You should do well in this contest,
