The Muse of Parnassus

The verse evokes Calliope
a summoning to cipher
A tempest of inspiration
falls in wind swept skies
divined through a visceral canopy
The wings of lyrics dress
the moist taste of rhyme
Murmurs thunder in ink shadows
and strike
illuminating sonnets
Against the gale
she cedes
raining poetry into sheets of wheat

Oh my! I think you've taken the place of my favourite poem. This one made me want to cry; not for sadness, but for beauty.

    "A tempest of inspiration
    falls in wind swept skies
    divined through a visceral canopy"

^Right there. That's where my jaw dropped lol

    "The wings of lyrics dress
    the moist taste of rhyme"

As a lover of music, I have to say that no one could ever describe it as beautifully as you have here. Your talent is baffling ^_^

    "illuminating sonnets
    Against the gale
    she cedes
raining poetry into sheets of wheat"

So poetic. It goes so well with the picture. I'm surprised you got an HM! I would've given you gold no doubt haha

    I love your poem. :]

I wrote the last line first, then the middle then the first two lines....I tend to write lines then put them in an order that works. Is that strange?
