Never Played With Girls Back Then

Stalks, prowling in shadows
it has no features, yet, it  has a name.
Loving surrounding sentinel
My safe zone
Years of neglect showed on the weary faces
trusted guardians of marble creations cemented in place;
They took what was his
tortured, terrorized
Insanity’s pleas of society’s greed
Pandora ’s Box unleashing the need.

    Makes me think of the Gargoyles cast into stone. Maybe they were not evil after all. smile

    Gotta admit the title drew me in lol. Us good bad girls can be fun to play with! Very interesting contest, and your first lines turned into an intriguing poem! Well done

    BLINK!!! So COOL!

    I think I would classify this splendid poem as being a sci-fi write, or maybe fantasy. It is really fine and could stand on its own as being a fine example of free write with one rhyming couplet at the end. YAY!
