Limbo

Is there far to go now?
The road has been long and
I cannot recall starting out.
There have been no landmarks
Only the mists and an idea that
Once I had a destination.

Will no one lead me?
Is there not a soul's companion
To walk alongside?
In the din of agonising loudness
Will no voice speak softly and to me alone?

Time has been no friend to me,
Just a passing stranger in the fog
Of shadowed faces.
Only tell me,
Is there far to go?

BRAVO! first poem of the day and beautiful, the sheer sense of isolation and despair floods this through to the end, so true the awareness of endlessness within the self and decisions becoming impossible can so cloud the mind, I know myself been there many times...

i love this...life is a jornery..but sometimes that journey takes u places u don't want to go..and the place u want to reach always seem out of reach..and things that u want ur way..like a certain person to guide..is sometime lost as u try to find out who u r...this poem is very deep..very nice job..perfectly expressed...

This is very well written and takes the reader (me ) into a vision of this person waiting for life's journey to be done, as they find their existence to make no sense at all and be quite boring, though I get no feeling of angst or suicide, just a slow, dragging existence that makes no sense (to them) and questioning. This being opposite of many who feel like time is flying by and wondering where it went, this person sits and time moves slowly while they wait for their journey to be over, or to perhaps some day reveal a purpose.

    I enjoyed this very much!

I like how you used a road to describe the path your disorder you chose leads you down. You described exactly how it feels, and how desperately lost and alone you are.
    Well done.
Thanks for entering and good luck!
