Lake Pearls

Silky breeze caressing
with feather touch,
reeds swaying gently
sylph-like in the shallows,
polka dot sun drops
dancing on silver surface.
Proud mother duck
leading her miniature brood
slowly across the lake,
strung out behind her
like a string of pearls.
