Clipped

Open mouthed..

drinker of the poison.

Swallowed blood of nectar,

drop by drop.

Raised tender pain,

ripples raw on naked skin.

Drowning heart..

sinks into oblivion.

tethered wings

clipped..

    Love this...

So much said in so few words...
    Great narrative, rhythm & flow...
And I've got to say some great wordplay/choices/use that make this another dark, profound & heartfelt write...
    Well done!!!

Julie, Have I ever asked you how long you've been creating poetry? LOL. I can't remember. When I read something like this, it feels like there is a lifetime of experience flowing from your pen. You are such an amazing poetress sis. I love you.
