What I love the most, is that you are always sending out positive messages This is great, and I am glad when I learn that someone loves themselves - this means they have love to share with others usually. Thank you for sharing a deep piece of you here, that is truly a wonderful thing!
Always, Amber
"I will choose to love myself
even if there's no one else. " -
okay this is breaks up into two even parts so I am going to break this into two parts I always comment as I read so here we go:
PArt 1:
WOw when the mirro talks? Is that you being down on yourself? I am like that I see only the negative and never the positive. I really like how you are being good to yourself...
Part 2:
There are so many ways to get fit that being sick all the time is just stupid. Look at me I weighed 200pounds last year I worked hard ate right and now I weigh 140 pounds, and am running marathons. If I can do it anyone can -
This poem reminds me of J. Michael Straczynski requiring that the actress who played Kaylie on Firefly should "look like she ate a cheeseburger once in a while."
I hate the near-anorexic look that models strive for, yet I go into the stores and can't stand the 'pregnant look' that seems to be in style, these days, as if even the fashion designers have decided to cater to their customers being overweight.
It's a weird, conflicted feeling.
Way to go, for deciding to simply be who you are and to embrace your body type. -
way to write!
so absolutely true....and I have to admit...I stood
in a dressing room....trying on new bathing suits..
shuttering with disbelief...and at my winters obvious
comfort and relief....food...and thought what in the world
am I doing...comparing myself to what?
a size three?
so instead of die.ting...i decided to walk...
and firm up...and chase away that fatty girl feeling.
Thanks for the reminder!
beauty is not a size but the depth of our souls.

To be honest, I cried, Hating my body is something most people struggle with alot especially me being a teenage girl, but reading your poem reminded me of what women should understand and cling to in today's society.

Just remember, you're beautiful just the way you are. You were made that way. You shouldn't have to change the way you look to please others, especially a guy.

Wonderfully written, and bravo for taking a stance on this. Thank you for your entry.

I like it, it is uplifting, I know what it feels like to not love your body, I like this. Great job! And thanks for your reply to my post

Lovely
I have to say that this hits home for me, cause i'm the type who has a hard time finding the beauty in my self, and this made realize that underneath all that I hate, is someone beautiful just the way she is, thank you for that.

This is awesome! I loved how you put this into words. It speaks so much power! It's a hard world out there and criticism is the worst. But you're right, we should love who we are no matter what. We were made this way, and we should love that! Awesome write!
Love,

Nicely said!

Hello.
You speak words of wisdom, for who will love you if you can not love your self; what love can you even give if you have none for yourself. The battle is always within, and who you must face is the dweller on the threshold. Love you for you, for there is no one else like you. That is what I got from your write. May it help those who look for the light in the dark, and may they find it within themselves. A good write poet.
My regards.

i agree nomater how many people hate you you have to love your self and live your own life or your not ever going to me happy your going to die hating ever thing you were and ever thing they had turned you into jsut be your self i know this was a good poem because it made me think of all thest things to say but there was nothing i could say that you should do to make the poem any better

this is a beautiful write and is written withsuch a strongmessage, yet some of us fail to grasp onto that concept. well done bro
-
absolutely brilliant. it's nice to read a poem about not being strung up on being stick thin. Neon.

♥ hehe
I love how this was written after I wrote mine, because yours is the opposite, giving me two different perspectives to think upon.
I think we all need to start loving and accepting ourselves more, but that's easier said then done.
"I choose to ignore the remarks
when the mirror talks"
I love your use of personification,
it's the truth though, that mirror screams louder than anyone else ever could.
Absolutely brilliant, Bro ^_^

Thank you.
And just remember - you are beautiful and there is nothing that can change that. Alot of times, society and the rest of the world can't see that, but that doesn't mean you aren't beautiful.
Let them keep feeding themselves lies. You can overcome this.
Life life as "the noun, beauty" instead of "the adjective, beauty" -

Thanks ♥

You are welcome. Just speaking the truth.
You have to look past your stretch marks and buckets of tears and realize and be able to tell yourself "I was born gorgeous".
There is no such thing as ugly. That's a lie that we've chosen to believe.
