Pretend Friends

Playing pretend,
Realising you're no friend.
Everyone has one
Traitor, betrayer to some.
Each has a reason,
None care about treason,
Deciding to act, to care.

Finding out they won't be there.
Reality crashes in,
Is there no end?
Empty words spoken faithlessly,
Never intended to help me.
Denial is all I can breath.
Serpent in reprieve.

And I just can't believe,
Really, were you only here to deciece?
Each moment, just a lie?

Every second another alibi.
Vast stupidity, I believed in you.
Even when they turned away too.
Repaid in only surprise,
You never cared for my cries.

Who would have thought,
Her innocent caper, all caught.
Even though I know the real in disguise,
Regret is all I can surmise.
Escaping me is only this...

"Ignorance truely is bliss."

Author notes

First letters spell something, excluding the last one in quotes.
Just a little something that came to me while I was stuck thinking about some of my so-called friends...

What do you think?

Thank you. I'm really glad you liked it, not so glad you acan relate, but everyone has a friend like that at one point I guess.
Oh, by the way, I didn't mind the random message, I was just afraid I'd met you before and forgotten you. >.< I have a very bad memory...

Actually, it was a friend of mine who's been drifting off and never talks to me anymore. It's sad, but this is how I feel, like we're not really friends anymore, their just using me. But everyone has at one point, I'm always the person everyone comes to when they have problems.
      Thanks for the comment.

A good work, though unfortunate in its conception. May we all learn from times such as this

Thank you, such words are most appreciated. ^__^ We all try to learn from our mistakes, though mine was of kindness...

well written. the punctuation is perfectly placed to enhance the tone and the rhyme is well worked. you handle the acrostic nicely...it's usally so lame, but i liked this one. sorry to read the author's note though and see that you were writing from real feelings.
    lots of love , Dannie

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it.
Unfortunately, I'm sure other people have experienced this problem too. It's sad, but true.
