Vows on the Lake

Here in the place where we've met
The reason why, you haven't told me yet
The gentle breeze blowing my hair
I watch your eyes as you look out there

Across the lake where we swam
The first place you said "I love you Sam"
The first place you held me in your arms
When you told me you'd always keep me safe from harm.

It's the place where you promised me
That together is where we'll always be
And as I'm thinking back to then
I wonder when you'll say it again.

Now you're standing in front of me
You slowly fall to one knee
Then grab my hands and pull me close
This is what I've wanted most

The brown of your eyes warms my heart
I think of how we'll never be apart
I think of the words you've said
The love and passion float through my head.

You look up and into my eyes
"Samantha Dear, I want you to be mine,
Forever to have, forever to hold
I want you to be with me when I grow old"

"Your eyes light my heart everyday
I love you so much, no words could say
The only one with whom I want to be
Samantha, will you marry me?"

My eyes fill up and I start to cry
As I finally begin to realize
You want me to be forever yours
I couldn't ask for anything more

"Yes! Oh Yes!" I cry to you
"I love you so much! I do!
You're the only one I'll ever need
I want you to always be with me!"

You lift me up and hold me tight
You held me that way all through the night
And when I slept I dreampt of you
Of me, Of the day when we'll say "I Do".

    That was amazingly well written. It flowed, it rhymed, and it was a sweet poem!!!! I give you many, many props. Good luck to you, though I dont think youll need it ;-)
