Vertigo (Tales of Cyber-Affairs)

Sent into a tail-spin of desperation;
wondering if ever the online
romance would be sharp enough
to slice through the jilted camera
that played on their lives, honed the skin that

held them together.

Often they would spoon under the glaring screen-light,
seriously considering where the other was driving at.
Mostly they enlisted tender corruption to speak on their behalf;
revolving in cylindrical nostalgia, bent from weeks of corroded impression,

angry and pouring their lies on a keyboard.

Author notes

This is a poem about an online love-affair. It is a love poem, under the layers of cynicism...Mostly because the subjects in this poem continue (unwritten, implied, between the lines) continue this projected charade of love and hate.

It does seem to lack concrete imagery...any assistance in that department would be greatly appreciated.
