I heard today, of a man on a grayhound bus in Canada. He was sleeping with his head pressed to the glass. When suddenly the man next to him began stabbing him with a hunting knife. Fellow passengers on the bus got off and left the 2 men there. Only to find moments later that the mad man had completely cut off the guys head.
And in Brazil, a 20 y/o man stabbed his 17 y/o girlfriend to death. Then completely dismembered her, took pictures of each body part then stuffed the torso in a suitcase and left it by a river.
That's where we are today. And I'm sure that's just a small taste...

I think we shall never know why all the maddness. This is truly heartfelt and thought provoking. It is so sad what the world has become. I guess all we can do is try to help whenever we can and live our lives the best we can. Nice poem/prayer

I heard that story from Canada too and it also left me astounded, in fact words failed me for once. This reads a tad like an angry prayer and it's understandable people feel this way. I'm not particularly religious but I know there are those who will be able to argue the case for why such deeds might be said to be allowed to happen, but I'm not going to. Well written and definitely from the heart, congratulations on your trophy, deserved indeed.

I heard a Catholic priest once say that such things were sent to test our faith. I think they are sent to strengthen it. Otherwise not just faith but also living would be pointless. Thank you for sharing.

Let's not forget their is evil that aloso lives in the world and if God did not save his own Son, lets assume there is a reason for him to also allow others to suffer. I know this may sseem strange but I use to ask why me God? And the answer I received will be in our news letter. Thank you for the entry and Good luck here.

Yes, it's awful what mankind can do. I'm sure God weeps to think he sent us here with the freedom to choose good or evil and that's how some use that freedom. But there would be no point in sending us here to be tried and tested, if we didn't have the freedom to choose, and God would cease to be just if he compelled us to be perfect in all things. You really made me think with this. Isn't it funny how we turn to God and blame him for 'allowing' all the awful things that happen in the world, instead of owning up and saying mankind are doing the wrong. Thanks for your words.

I wandered why many many times the innocent suffer and die horrble deaths. I believe tragedy falls on the just and unjust. I don't believe God wants to see His children suffer. But He said there is evil in this world and it will grow worse toward the end. But those who follow Him will not perish but have everlasting life. So this means to me that He is the Only way to overcome the evil of this world.

yes this world is sick and sad. It can drive you insane if you choose to not see the beauty in this world. Keep your heart on God and the good that can be. I dont even watch the news anymore. I have things to do and people to help, God bless you and keep you, Mark
