No more empty spaces,
no thought to question why.
Finger slowly traces
lips that never lie.
Eyes swimming inside eyes,
that get lost in return.
Find, in heart-warming surprise,
more lessons to be learned.
Happiness increases;
looks like it's here to stay;
As you reclaim the pieces
that were lost along the way.
No longer bound by torment,
a lost soul has been found.
Emotions that laid dormant,
now spill beyond their bounds.
Seems the storm has vanished,
has become a constant lull.
Heart no longer famished,
content I rest...soul-full.

Isn't it funny how suddenly a realization true love can be? I've struggled along for many years thinking I knew and yet...I hadn't had a clue. This is a very innocent piece of work that lends credibility to a painful experience. I can relate to the idea of scrounging for missing pieces lost somewhere along the way. It seems to be a recurring theme in quite a bit of poetry penned by the recently heartbroken. I'm also pleased with the play on words in the title. I thought it was a bit tongue in cheek at first but yet, so very true.
When in love, the soul is truly full.
Nicely done!
