Great question!
All those believe in God "handle" His image. We reflect His love to the world. Scary.
Just look at how He handled things in the bible. He chose the fewest, weakest men, then gave them no weapons. God's side won. He wants us to know it's all His doing, not ours. Anyone who believes they have been chosen to serve God because of their talent, schooling, strength or good looks is a FOOL. There's plenty of (them) us.
God has a great sense of humor.
"I choose the foolish to confound the wise."
God's calling card? a sunset, rainbow, newborn baby...

The operative word is "people", and there I think you have put your finger on it. I can't understand why this poem isn't in the finalists' list (maybe it doesn't strike the setter as being "poetic" enough), but then I can't understand why Canada can't produce a decent DVD version of "Jesus de Montreal".

Everyone has a religious belief, God says he is known by many names. Why would anyone have a different religion or worship someone if there wasn't a God anyway. Religion is retarded if you ask me, yeah spread the word but not a cult. How did the thought of him ever get put into someones head anyway, even signs of prehistoric people worshiping some kind of presence. All religions all God's must be and I believe are the same Guy

Thanks for making me ponder. Profound thoughts indeed, but who says God authorised these things? It's only man who says God did, because God said the most important thing was to love each other. He was not just talking of himself, he was showing an example of how we should be when he said:
'Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends'. Note, he did not say enemies, because he expected us to treat all as friends. I agree, man has done a pretty poor public relations job for God.
