I know you still think of him
when you are wrapped safely in my arms.
I know you are terrified to relax
even though I swore never to hurt you.
What's done is done
it won't come back to haunt you
unless you keep glancing back
like you are now.
It's in the past
and you've got to keep moving,
the world can't wait for you
to get over idiots that weren't worth your time.
You handed him the silver knife
and told him when the full moon comes.
You were a fool but you learned your lesson,
so let it go love, let it go.

A well expressed relationship problem.
Reminds me of the Steely Dan lyric: "when the demon is at your door, in the morning it won't be there no more. Any major dude will tell ya". People let go in their time. Your time can't be forced on them. Good title, but threesomes don't usually work. Sounds like the one with the shade isn't ready for a new relationship. Hard times await those who would play second fiddle to a ghost.
