wolves do gather to devour sheep
Prepare ye thus, go abroad to all
sing from the rooftops, the Son of Man does call
HalleluYah, Yahshua reigns
at the right hand of Him Who doeth ordain
His Righteousness exceeds all else
put on the New Life discard the self
(Chorus)
The time is coming when we shall have to stand
before the throne and not upon the sand
The Living Waters will strengthen those who find
the Kingdom's glory shines forth and frees the blind
(Chorus)
Be not deceived by hearts grown cold
Messiah comes to lead the bold
His army stands, He will endure
His angels and devoted in Love secure
(Chorus)
Blessed is He Who comes in the Name
many will say yes, we know He came
Believe not those who deny His claim
Blessed is He Who comes in the Name
Keeping watch least I be found sleep
wolves do gather to devour sheep
Prepare ye thus, go abroad to all
sing from the rooftops, the Son of Man does call
Keeping watch least I be found sleep

Mt 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Mt 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. {harmless: or, simple}
Lu 10:3 Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.
Ac 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
Mt 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Master doth come.
Mt 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
Mr 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
Mr 13:34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
Mr 13:35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
Mr 13:37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
Mr 14:38 Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.
Lu 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
1Co 16:13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
Col 4:2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
1Th 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
1Pe 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
Re 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

A wonderful piece of writing that calls on all to be ready when the time is come. I like how you put across your wonderful belief in the lord and how you allow yourself to be filled with all that is so beautiful in him. I think this piece is just precious. Thank you for the read.

I have been thinking, many of your religious poems remind me of Christina Rossetti's poems. I have an 1894 copy of her later religious work, someone has signed it with beautiful Victorian writing, obviously dedicating it to someone else on the same day as my birthday. I took it to be a sign. So I bought it for a couple of quid.
