In and out of time
My own thoughts dominate
The world in which
I decide to inhabit
The spaces between
Are filled with randon
Acts of beauty
Rewarded swiftly
With a plague
Of your punishment.
These garden walls
Keep me darkly inspired
To be as disconnected
As humanly possible
I allow you
Only a glimpse
At the cascading ivy
At my gates
The prize blooms
Hidden discretely
From your plague.

I enjoyed the poem alot. I read it twice to get a full appreciation. The metaphor is nicely done. Best of luck in the contest.
