Ocean soul,
elemental loneliness;
a single shell on the beach,
but one among many,
indeterminable,
carried with the tide;
forever alone,
devoted to a lost cause;
solitary spirit,
forever searching for the impossible;
ghost of one once feeling,
drowning in a sea of tears.
Author notes
"Ocean Soul" by Nightwish is the song that inspired me to write this. I was listening to it when I was writing this and the poem came out. Let's say I was moved to put pen to paper.
