In heart's bower sings a wistful rhyme.
A bowed shoulder embraces in longing
Delicate fingers clasping their partners in crime.
Angel's form shimmering in glassy glitter
Mirrored image fondled through the sands of time.
In flimsy caress my apparelled halo
A yearning for perfection in checkered prime.
Signs of sorrow surface in human flesh
Kissing skin gently the taut feelings climb.

Picture prompt:Secret Reflection by manips-of-artist2
This is an english ghazal and doesn't conform to all of Agha Shahid Ali's views on ghazals.
A ghazal is a two-lined poem. It is generally written in 5 to sometimes even 15 stanzas. Each stanza being able to stand alone need not be related to each other.

Wow! I haven't read anything of yours before which rhymes, but you've mastered everything this poem could need

my favourite parts: "In heart's bower sings a wistful rhyme." and
"A yearning for perfection in checkered prime."
just as the people below have said, this is a very sensual write.
