They say the play may be the thing,
To catch the conscience of the king
But I propose you take the cake
And sit you down to have a break:

Survey the sonnets spread out there
A-sitting in an easy chair
Brew up some tea, some Earl Grey,
And sip it in a casual way

And then, blow out the candles, do
The Best of Birthdays, just for you.
