My Second Love's First Kiss

A pretty amusing thing it was,
the first kiss the second
love of my life gave me;
actually it's comical if you
put it into perspective...

The first love of my life,
as a nun and Christian,

was and is Jesus; the

second a male, 10 week-old
scotty dog I got two years
ago on February 14th as
an early birthday present.

So, my second love was
and is my scotty dog,
my beloved Giacomo -
albeit he a dog and I
a woman, it was puppy
love at first lick.

    Sweet celebration of the love animals often engender in us. Liked the final 'love at first lick'- technically this reads a tad like prose in places but that's only a very minor nitpick. Thanks for sharing.

    It's so cute though. And it was good even if you didn't rhyme it. You're one of few people to enter something that fits the theme and the only person so far to get really creative with it. That's awesome!
