She Hugs Me With Her Laughter

My grandma I remember use to always say,
oh that girl hugs me with her laughter every day.
I was curious and asked grandma what does that mean,
and grandma replied its the beauty unseen .

Everyone has it and one thing they must know,
that every-time they hug someone with it their beauty grows.
I listened intently then I giggles a bit,
and My grandma gave me a wink and she replied your getting it .

My friends I told them how we all were beautiful indeed,
and in my giggling they all began to see.
They jumped and laughed and there was a sparkle in all their eyes,
that's when the children truly felt the beauty within them this night.

Oh their are those who are truly gorgeous but their beauty unseen,
For they care only for themselves and leave behind those in need.
Then their are the true beauties about us everyday,
ones who gives of themselves to bring joy at play.

There is Marcy oh her eyes like diamonds indeed,
an look over there at Margaret she skips with such glee.
Then I see over there is Tammy with her long lushious hair,
and Billy Jean with so much love she so shares.

Oh what is this word beauty and what does it mean,
for beauty comes from the heart its something felt as well and seen.
Its all in how you give to others whether it be excepted and praised ,
for beauty is what you make of it every day.

There can be a most beautiful girl on the outside ,
but ugly from within.
And without the love from the inside,
Her beauty will be ignored in the end .

I really loved how you told a story and still kept with the contest theme. Grandma was a very wise person. This is a very nice write. Thanks for entering and good luck.

What is going on in the inside is the most important part of a woman's beauty. I am more attracted by a woman's smile than anything else about her. A false smile is a sign of shallowness and stupidity. That cannot be counteracted by a physical attractiveness.

    Really good!

Odd formatting; grammar error line 4, stanza 2 (fyi). But that's just me...as for the subject and content, it's outstanding! I'd never have thought of something like this. You had a very wise grandmother, and I am glad to see that wisdom live on. Best of luck in the contest!
