Oh we are all packaged in different ways,
Some more padded others slim and affording much praise!
The shell or external coat we wear,
Is not what truly represents whats really there!
Inside the you that you that you really are,
Is a totally different and beautiful character..
Inner beauty is all that counts,
Though external beauty is what flaunts.
The beautiful soul the caring one,
The altuitistic and the compassionate one...
The feeling, healing loving you,
The innermost real and true.....
Your outer shell is but a vision,
Adorned with the sight that is a prison....
A prison that hides the real innermost you,
Yes the beauty is really within the you most true...
Your beauty just isn't so skin deep,
Your love and compassion is a mountain steep...
Steep because it piles up high,
Your altruism could even reach the sky...
The inner beauty is all that matters,
Your outer you is something that flatters....
Take heart the beautiful within and without,
For it is only in the eye of the beholder about...
About you external to what's within,
Often a stranger that many can't see therein.
So all that matters is what is within you,
The external is just to outwardly attract you...
Attraction is superficial to what is underneath,
So deep and subliminal like nature's coral reef!

True Beauty
For my AP daughters:
One of my daughters on here is feeling bad because she
isn't what is considered "pretty". She is a beautiful
person but doesn't feel this way.
I want poems about what really makes someone beautiful. No
vanity here. "To see how beautiful you are don't look in the mirror.Look in your heart."
Points may increase if I am impressed by entries. If worthy
