Entry Number Four: Showers

I.
Do you remember that night we came home
to a silent, empty house?
We were going to do so many things.
Eat what I call a cardboard pizza
or watch some movie on card counting[that new one:21]
But we ended up in the shower together.
I'll always remember the steam and the sweat
as we pulled clothes from each other[slowly]
We took our time
as if patient to find one another
without the barriers of clothing.
Our bodies had become golden from
the suns skillful touch
where you were working with power tools
and I enjoyed my pool.

II.
When all our barriers were lost
we stepped under the spray that was beginning to cool.
The water slid over our skin
making it slippery under our hands
and I was lost to you as you took me
over each rocketing edge
and I brought you head first along with me.
There was soap shared between us and the smell of it
will always remind me of you.
As the water turned cold[some hour later]
It made me laugh at how distracted we get
when we don't have any place to go.

III.
Some hours later we lie all twisted up
on the air mattress you sleep on
when you decide to stay at your parents.
It was slowly losing air
but you didn't seem to notice
or just didn't make any point
to make mention of it
as you pulled me closer to your side
You were close to sleep[but so was I]
It's amazing how completely
relaxed and comfortable we've become
when were together[that never happens to me]
Any day;Any time
[would my growing heart be enought to make you stay?]
