Muir Woods

secluded paths
leafy roof over my head
animals unafraid
almost knowing
thier safe
these ancestors
older then you and me
are more then just wood and green
they are survivors:
raging fires
bulldozer charades
they seen it all
so take a look
inside muir forest
the most beautiful thing is there on display
life

Absolutely perfect. To realize the true beauty of the Earth and her forests in a lovely poem such as this...you did excellent. There are a few grammar mistakes, like on line five it should be "they're" safe, and on line twelve, "they've" seen it all. Other than that, amazing work. Thank you for entering, and good luck.

You definitely evoke the atmosphere of Muir Woods in this poem. I was there last year and it was wonderful--the first time I'd ever seen Redwood trees.

    Well done,
    Bill
