Seduced by it's mystery and bottomless fear,
The hermit is cradled by its trustful warmth.
Allured by the scent of timeless freedom,
Charmed by the Ocean's sorcery.
Sirens gaze, bewildered at this lonely spirit,
which land, and air forgot.
Pairs of turquoise eyes entice in chants of soothing forgiveness,
as the spirit is cleansed of her sins.
The hands of the sea gently release the recluse,
beckoning innocence to her prophetic slumber.
Author notes
Siren - Greek mythology they were sea nymphs who drew people to the rocks by their enchanted singing, causing them to drown.
