Home is where you hang your hat
Are greeted by your pussy cat
Where every  thing around in view
Is  really just a part of you

There’s nothing like your  comfy bed
A place to rest your sleepy head
A peaceful haven  so it seems
the source of all your wondrous dreams

when seated in your old armchair
you feel  relaxed and free from care
and  wonder why you ever roam
from this heaven you call home.

This truly made me feel at home,
like I had just got off of a day's
    hard work and welcomed by
    what lies beyond the door;
    comfort and relaxation.

    Beautifully penned.

Thanks for entering & best of luck

the simplicity is wonderful - an un-cluttered offering which flows very well do to the easy, gentle rhyme structure - a joy to read aloud - an encouraging and uplifting poem of hope and promise. Congratulations on your trophy! Blessings and best wishes,

I love the way this reads, as the rhythm and rhyme are amazing. I also lover the "comforts of home" message here. There surely is nothing like the safety and security one feels in their own space called home. Thanks so much for entering. Blessings, Patty

Beautifully written, so simple yet the flow and rhyme were perfect. A bit of humour lifted this and brought a smile to my face. Well done in the contest and thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed it.

Good write, this had a nice flow. I liked the part about the cat. That's what makes me happy when I come home, my cat is really friendly and runs up to the door as soon as I come home. Good luck in the contest.
