Lucifer's Bread

Her faith in God almighty shall be drained.
Surrender to the lies which Satan speaks:
Inside she believes, but her flesh is weak.
She succumbs to the gnawing, growing pain.
Jesus Christ will not stop this wretched rain,
The freezing cold, the snow, or this horrid sleet.
Lucifer offers everything she seeks.
Could his offerings help to keep her sane?

She fights the suffering within her soul,
Ignores the sinful voices in her head.
Knowing how they will only make things worse.
Believing in the Lord will make her whole.
Forget Satan and his demonic bread.
Not a gift, but a contract with a curse.

This is an Italian sonnet.
This is a 14 line poem consisting of 2 parts, an octave and sestet.
Each line has 10 syllables(or sometimes, depending 11)

The octave shows the problem or burden, and the sestet adds light to the burden, or solves the problem.

This is a pre-write technically, but I hadn't entered it on this site yet.
