Because I keep thinking of the way you used to look at her,
The stars couldn't ever shine as bright as your eyes did.
It makes me wonder if you'll ever look at me with the same brilliance,
And I wish there was a way for me to express my grattitude for the metaphors you've given me,
But I guess the way I say thank you and the way you receive it are on different frequencies.
I skip my breakfast so that I can daydream just that much longer,
Sometimes I can't breathe, and I start to implode,
because sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be here without you.
It makes me realize that there would be nothing,
Like your absence means the absence of everything else, too.
Sometimes I dream in sequence,
And the waking moments are not too different from the fantasies,
And I start to wonder
If maybe I'm always dreaming, just a dream inside another,
Never knowing which is the reality,
And if it's really spattered with fantasy so real, that they question all reality's authenticity..
You make my mind go to marvelous places.

ooooh, this is brilliant, I love how it gives the feel of a chain reaction of thoughts and fantasies. I especially love the imagery:
"But I guess the way I say thank you and the way you receive it are on different frequencies."
and
"If maybe I'm always dreaming, just a dream inside another,
Never knowing which is the reality,
And if it's really spattered with fantasy so real, that they question all reality's authenticity.."
^^^Superb!
and your closing line is absolutely phenomenal!
Thanks so much for sharing this, and for taking the time to enter my contest,
Luck.

Thank you so much!
I really appreciate it! -

it was basically a prewrite, too.
I don't know who I managed to spout something like this, but it turned out well.
