My heart long ago was complete
Till I knew you, then no longer was it finished
For every time we say good bye my heart breaks off a shard for you
Hold onto my shard
Take good care of yourself
For every time we say hello I'm whole again for a short while
This shard is my trust
My hope, my dreams, and my love all for you
This shard is for only you, my family member that completes me
You are my brother
My older brother who I need
Without you my home is not complete
You are mine
And I am here for you
Now and forever more, when your gone call for me
Call for me, and I shall come
For I remember everything that we have been through
Call for me, and I will be there, because I remember when I held your soul
Brother be not afraid of hurting me
You are already forgiven of every sin in my eyes
So do not worry, when you get angry or full of sorrow
I love you, so I've taken in pain for you
The heart's strings are pulled in the oddest fashions
Yes its true there have been tearful moments, yet there is no regret
Brother, you are mine, so carry that with pride
As I carry every memory of you as a trophy, for they are all wonderful
And one day, come back to me, after being gone so long, so you can say hello, and make whole again

No I wrote this when he moved away for four months away from me. I had no way to get ahold of him so it felt like forever since I had spoken to him.

ok, so first of all the title of this poem kinda jumped out at me cuz, obviously, as "mirrors shard" i was kinda intrigued. and im glad i looked at this one; its almost like a song or something; u really portray the imagery and the feeling in a creative way.
