Enshrined caryatid to heaven's dome:
lavender marble catalyzes illusions
of wing-beats reverberating through air,
of pulses and steam-laced neighing--
of life undaunted.
Winds murmur their laments, the loss
of their aerial brethren unbearable.
Madness enveloped his last rider,
caressing stones flanks, and beckoning
quickness to shudder through her once more:
consumed with delusions she searches
for his distant heart-beat,
for hooves flashing upon horizons,
for life undaunted.
