I found a new friend today,
a friend to take my fears away.
It is a friend that you must buy,
It has a name it's called a high.
It seems to be the latest style,
"Your welcome here, lets smoke awhile."
It turns me loose, it sets me free,
From the dullness of reality.
But sometimes though I start to wonder,
Does it lift me up or drag me under?
The fears it took were only hidden,
And feelings seem to be forbidden.
Now my friend has turned on me,
And thus become my enemy.
I think about the price I pay,
and go get high anyway.
I try to stop but it doesnt last,
I give in as I have in the past.
Inside it seems Im always crying,
Why do I feel as if Im dying?
I wrote this about pot 20 yrs ago and now today I write it about meth.....

Ugh, drugs. They are not a thing to use. Pot, meth, whatever is not the choice. But, this is full of emotions as well, behind it. I have to say, find real friends and not things that can't talk to you, or really cheer you up, drugs, don't cheer you up, they make you worse! If you need anyone to talk to, you can come to me, it may be weird, but still. Nice write.

Life's too short
to speed it up with meth. At least with pot a minute seemed like an hour. The phantasmagoria was always stronger with pot too. Sometimes I'd be riding in a car and suddenly the sky and horizon appeared to be "the floor" and it felt like we were falling down the wall which was the road. Or if you were lying down in the backseat with your eyes closed and the driver made a 90 degree turn it felt like you did 10 full circles. Hmmm. Kinda miss those days. Now the strongest thing I take says "Kelloggs" on the box.
