Mary's Little Lamb

Mary had a little lamb
when she was twelve plus two.
Too young to be a mother,
but what was she to do?

Her babe was soft and precious
and came with her to school.
The boy who got her pregnant
was simply the class fool.

Poor Mary faced expulsion
for multiplying badly.
She raised her baby anyway,
and things turned out quite gladly.

The baby's now a film star
and Mary's old but rich.
The baby's father's buried
near school, in a ditch.

Very nice write. It's not completely gruesome, but its the side of the story that the parents didn't want their children to hear.

So it's very well written and the rhyming went well as a nursery rhyme should.

    Well done and good luck

I loved this. It was great fun. A very fast paced alternative rhyme. You did a great job with this one.

LOL!!! This was fantastic, i love reading this type of poem butchering a nursery rhyme, this works perfectly much better than the usual quick mary had a little lamb, she used it as a kite, a thousand volts shot up it's arse, and it's wool turned into nylon. A very clever poem this well done good luck in the contest and thankyou for making me laugh.

    Best wishes Seraph
