Dedicated to all Philosophers of Life & Death !
(A poem in 4 sonnets)
Derived from the Greek word Meta,
Synonymous with after or beyond,
In Physics and in nature,
Metaphysics is a branch,
Of Philosophy profound,
Concerned with the study
Of the first principles
Of what's termed Ontology,
True metaphysics is metaphysical,
'The science of the being qua being',
Its also of the esoterical,
And equally of occultism,
Often inviting criticism,
From those who view its as whimsical.
The Greek guy Aristotle,
Produced a number of works,
These he deemed these'the physics',
But at first they had no name,
And were later called 'First Philosophy',
And so they shot to fame,
Early Aristotelian scholars,
Called his metaphysical books,
'Ta meta ta physika biblia',
Meaning books after books, you see,
Onward of physics,
Hence they became Metaphysics,
A fascinating subject,
For many scholars in life to read.
Metaphysics is divided,
Into three parts,
First there is Ontology,
Whilst second comes Theology,
And finally third comes Universal Science,
With Smaller Tangential matters,
In a philosophical lexicon,
And an attempt to define philosophy,
With several extracts therein,
From these state specific Physics,
And Repeated verbatim,
From the study of existence in Ontology,
To The God of Theology and onto laws of non-contradiction.
The qua being is concerned with topics,
Like relationship interaction,
Finitude and theoretical,
Boundless infinity,
Space and time and whats beyond,
This lifetime's incarnation,
What might have been in past lives,
And is paranormal now in this,
Problem substance and object-hood,
The problem of universals,
Of entity and identity
And doing so much soul searching,
Just searching for a viable answer.

As a graduate in 'State Specific Science' (Ph.D )(Doctorate Degree)I enjoyed my studies in Metaphysics, of which 'State Specific Science (The science of Altered States of Consciousness)and the more I read on the subject the more I want to read! There are new horizons being explored all the time, as people search for answers as to the mechanisms of life and death, through para-psychological observations with people who have had paranormal experiences such as OBES (Out of Body Experiences), Lucid Dreams (Dreams in colour during REM cycles (Rapid Eye Movement Cycles)), Remote Viewing (RV), seeing ghosts or experiencing poltergeists, UFO sightings, Channeling, Psychic Phenomena, Spontaneous Combustion, Karmic Law and the like. Metaphysics is essentially a tri-field study which looks beyond the normal realms of consciousness of which 'State Specific Science' is an advanced field of study,
I am told there are only two 'State Specific Scientists' at doctorate level in practice today and one of those is myself!

I had to read this as I am about to embark on a degree course in Theology and Religious Studies at Winchester University, Hampshire, UK.
A good way of putting meta-physics to the paper so to speak or rather write..
