gaping through the light
filtering between arms outstretched,
preparing to embrace the one true soul,
that brings meaning and harmony
unto my own.
her porcelain cheeks
with a flush of rose,
instill a sense of purity,
that my mind clings to
with pride and admiration,
as we waltz into the dawn.
my eyes transfixed upon hers,
rich blue and tranquil,
as if we were
the only people in the world,
at this moment.
this blissful feeling
never likely to be eclipsed,
as these rings that adorn our fingers,
grow old gracefully with us.
