Young and Lustful

A memory of helplessness,
A love once kindled brightly shining.
Love that once was thought true.
It was merely affection of lust.

A kiss to the lips will open the heart,
Arouse the senses,
And kill the facts.
Attracted by body, and not by soul.

When the kiss is over,
The kill begins,
Young, hopeless lovers.
Silently crying for youthful lips.

The sky begins to sob,
And the wrists begin to cry.
The blood and rain blending perfectly.
Like a diamond ruby ring.

A wedding ring that breaks on the ground,
Falling quickly,
Broken on the floor.
Shattered by the pain.

A lost affection,
A false love,
Turned to inner hate.
The ring dissolved in the remains of a life.

Author notes

It's not a good poem...but it is a response to jaded teardrop's new poem. I had a similar situation with an ex-boyfriend who tried to kill himself after I broke up with him...it feels awful, and I know it wasn't my fault...but it really hurts...the false blame you feel. That's what this quickie little poem is about.

Remind you of anything you've ever felt?
