I love you.
I love you.
Those three words that confuse me,
Because the meaning has been lost.
'I'
Simple enough,
Represents theirself,
Yet it is unknown,
Does it only show his/herself?
'Love'
This confuses me most,
What does this mean?
Does it mean the feeling inside
That many people don't feel?
Or is it just that word?
That's easy to say,
But you don't mean it,
You just say it.
'You'
You. And only you.
No one else but you.
With the feeling of love it is great,
But with the word, it is a weapon.
Is the word and the feeling
Two different things?
That no one really notices
The great difference between them?
Well, I notice the difference
But I only noticed recently
As I was talking to my love
And yes, he's my love.
I used to say "I love you"
And not mean it
Because I didn't get that feeling
That sweeps you off your feet.
But now I say "I love you, Lucas"
And the feeling sweeps through me
Like the wind in a tree
Like a snowy vortex in the winter.
And when he replies
With his voice of an angel,
I get the butterflies
And I lose my breath.
He catches my breath.
He takes my breath away
I would die for him.
I love him so much.
So next time
When someone says to you those three words
If they love you, your heart will know
And I'm sure they will love you.
But do me a favor
And think
'What do those three words mean?'
And if you know the true meaning...
Do
Not
Forget
It.
Ever.
Author notes
Yes, this is a poem that doesn't rhyme... Well, it's not supposed to. It just came to me when I was talking to Lucas on MSN Messenger. I'd just like to thank him because I love him so much and he gives me inspiration to write these things. I love you Lucas and I mean it ever so much!
It might be one of the worst I do, but what do you think?
