trying to make sense
of the
senseless
slaughter of innocence,
the cry of children
abused by the trusted,
Youth used to fit an agenda,
soldiers sacrificed
in wars waged by old men
with old ideas,
all sacrificed
for expediency,
all in the name of God.

Surely, all some of it, in the name of money / oil / gold / whatever? The Godless it seems to me call on God for their senseless destruction. Beautifully expressed - send it to Barak and friends or as a goodbye to George Dubbya.

It makes my stomach turn, to think of all the atrocities, that have been committed in the name of 'God'. You really nailed this string of disparate thoughts and brought them together into cohesive conclusion.
Great job!

word 1 line 4 ... slaughter? This world will make your head spin that's for sure. It makes no sense except that it is senseless as you say. Making men into body bags ...
for what? -
ooopsie forgot to reward you.

This was an emotional piece.
When nations or individuals claim to do things in the name of God that are full of injustice, I grow upset. At these times God gets blamed for the bad that was done though he in actuality had nothing to do with it.
certainly these persons will receive their payment for their horrible practice of injustices, because God isn't with them when they abuse their authority.
